There may be no place more perfect than Seattle for the Academy of Management’s 2003 annual meeting. It is an amalgam of cultures East and West in a setting of striking natural beauty. It is also the site of a dramatic clash between people and organizations during 1999’s WTO meetings. Seattle invites attention to many issues that resonate in the Academy community: The environment, quality of life, technology and innovation, political action and social change, to name a few.

This year’s theme, "Democracy in a Knowledge Economy," is one way the Academy of Management can respond to the issues. Right place. Right time. Your participation will enrich our meeting. Please come.
